We often do not appreciate how lucky we are to live in the BC Interior until we leave and then decide to return!  Growing up in Adams Lake was a child's dream, and with parents in the logging and sawmill industry, my opportunity to work and learn sales started early!  My horizons expanded with High School in the big town of Chase, then onto University at UBC and Uof A in Edmonton. I discovered that working 9-5 in an office did not work for me unless I was close to the outdoors and interacting with people.  When I met my future husband, Lyle, and started working with him in concrete construction, I could use the business office skills I had learned as a teenager, continue teaching the occasional 2-week Industrial First Aid course throughout BC, and work outside all the time.  Children came along, our business expanded to include a Cement Plant and Gravel Operation (Tri-Lake Ready Mix), and life was very busy.  Real Estate Investing was always a side interest, and once the business scaled back to the original Lyle's Concrete operation, and children moved out on their own, there was time to consider another venture. Along with working with the Chase Hamper Society (Food Bank), of which I sat on the Board as President for a time, I became licensed as a Realtor in 2017, and started helping people find the home of their dreams, or sell the one they have to move on to the next. My background in the construction industry and  knowledge of the local area has proven useful many times!  Whether it is residential or Commercial, each transaction is a learning experience, a chance to meet new people, and gives the satisfaction of a job well done!

I was born in Montreal, Quebec to a hard working dad and a loving stay-at-home mom who occasionally picked up work when times got tougher. A typical working middle class family doing the best they could for my younger sister and I. We’ve lived in a multitude of different housing situations but I remember always enjoying the move to a new house and discussing decor and architecture with my mom. Fast forward several years my sister decided to move to BC (with a short hiatus in Alberta before) until she settled in Oliver. I followed shortly after looking for adventure and a new way of life. The scenery in BC immediately relit my passion for mountain biking and hiking. I originally continued my original career that I had started in Qc as a crane truck operator until I moved to Kamloops where I used some of my previous experience driving cement mixer trucks to get hired by a local ready-mix company. Nothing happens for nothing in life was my motto when the company closed its doors in the winter and all the employees were left to find new jobs (or new careers in my case.) I studied hard and got my real-estate license in the spring of that same year under the guidance of my new mentor in the field. We have since started working as a team under the name Brenda Patterson Realty Group. I believe that with Brenda’s experience in the field and my knowledge of technology, we will make an unstoppable real-estate team that will be able to answer every client’s wishes and desires when it comes to selling or buying their home.
